This nocturne has been a result of several small-scale color sketches as well as photographs of the bonfires that we set up in our back yard once in a while, overlooking our lake. I enjoy the combination of the bright oranges with the range of blues of the night. 

The piece is unframed, but its 1.5-inch deep edges are painted and give it a contemporary finished look that allows for display without a frame. The mock up interior photos shows a preview of this piece in a simple frame, if you choose to add one on your own.
